Seven of South Manchester’s Rabbonim gathered at Morris Feinmann Home for a celebration afternoon tea.
Hosted on Wednesday 14/12/11, the tea was held to celebrate the Home’s kitchens being awarded fully kosher status, under the supervision of Rabbi Shlomo Ellituv, supported by the Manchester Beth Din.
The Home has received several donations which have funded significant structural improvements in the kitchen and the installation of new equipment.
All Morris Feinmann Home staff have now been fully trained in areas relating to the purchasing, preparation and serving of food in the kitchens, dining rooms, residents’ bedrooms and in all public areas.
Helen Lister, vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees at Morris Feinmann Home, said: “This could not have been achieved without the good humour, patience and complete commitment of Rabbi Ellituv, who has personally supervised this project from start to finish. He has managed to instil his dedication to the project in all of the Home’s kitchen staff.”
Rabbi Ellituv was joined by Rabbi Dovid Jaffe, Rabbi Joel Portnoy, Rabbi Dovid Lewis, Rabbi Reuben Silverman, Rabbi Chaim Kanterovotz and Rabbi Amir Ellituv.
Helen Lister added: “We are extremely grateful to Rabbi Ellituv and thank him most sincerely.”
