When you move into Morris Feinmann Home, you are encouraged to bring a selection of your own furniture and choose your own decoration and furnishings. You can also bring your own television set and telephone. We aim to make your living space cosy and homely, while also respecting your privacy.

Each bedroom has an emergency call system. There are various single rooms and suites – some with balconies and garden access – and most bedrooms have en-suite shower facilities. Also available are a number of larger suites that can be altered to cater for individual requirements. A variety of double bedrooms are also available for married couples or those wishing to share.

The Home has lifts and there are specialist aids for wheelchair users and those who have difficulty with mobility.

Morris Feinmann is a strictly no smoking home. For your safety and security, smoke detectors are fitted throughout the Home and both the front and side entrance doors are protected by a keypad security system.

Jewish Life

Morris Feinmann Home is the only Jewish care home in South Manchester.

All our meals are kosher and we have our own chaplain, Rabbi Ellituv, ready to advise us on any religious matters.

We celebrate Friday night and all the major Jewish festivals in a traditional way and encourage the residents’ families to join us in these activities.

We have regular Shabbat morning services, followed by our very popular Kiddush, to which visitors are most welcome. We also hold special Kiddushim to honour key volunteers from the Home and recognise their work.

We welcome the community in to use our facilities for various events, ranging from bar mitzvahs and community events to stone settings and memorial services.

The Home has strong links with North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, which is close by in Gately, and we invite the children to perform and sing for the residents whenever possible.
